This superb mahogany desk dates to around 1870, having a new thick leather hide inset writing surface, hand dyed to create a faded tan colour with tooled edging.
Coming in 3 parts for easy placement in the home, the desk top has 3 drawers along the top and sits on 2 pedestal bases, each having 3 drawers. All drawers pull smoothly, with turned mahogany handles, cockbeaded fronts and of good quality construction.
In excellent showroom condition, with panelled ends and insides of the kneehole, finished all around so this desk can be freestanding in a room.
