A fine early 19th century carved oak centre table of octagonal form, circa 1830.
The thick oak top with beautifully figured grain is bordered by deep carved acanthus leaf moulding. Supported on an impressive central baluster column with bold scrollwork, lion masks and foliate carving, terminating in substantial scrolled feet.
This striking table comes in two pieces for ease of movement and is presented in very good condition, with a rich, warm patina. A statement piece of period craftsmanship, ideal for use as a centre or library table.
