Circa 1860. A lovely military style writing slope in good condition. Rich mahogany box with brass corners and carry handles, working lock and key and secret locking drawer. The box opens to reveal a purple velvet writing surface which has storage space underneath and small sectioned stationary storage above. Perfect addition to any home office and a great gift!
